Meagan Good was born in Panorama City, Los Angeles on 8 August 1981. Her mother Tyra Wardlow Doyle was her manager when she was in her teens. The three siblings within Canyon Country California, and made her debut in acting when she was four. In the early stages of her career she worked as an extra on television shows like Doogie Howser Amen and M.D. The first film she acted in, "Friday", was released in 1995 when she turned 13.
