Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised in an ethnically diverse family. She's English but her father is Nigerian. She was born in the South London council estate, and at the age of fourteen, she attended The Brit School. In London she attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which her acting diploma was earned. She appeared in many stages during her high time at school, including King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started her acting career with a film titled Storm Damage. Since then, she's made guest appearances in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film role was Woody Allen's 2007 Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. After the film's success, Madekwe was cast as Elisha in the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as for six seasons Trexx as well as Flipside. The year 2008 saw her landed the role in the role of Bambi on The ITV2 drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl and was featured in the episodes two and three. Madekwe was also the title character in How to lose friends & alienate people, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment back in the year 2008. Her stage credits include Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe debuted in the US by presenting The Beautiful Life. The drama show was telecast in the US on The CW for only two episodes, but it was ended. In February of 2011, she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe starred as a regular character on the drama series on ABC Revenge during two seasons. It was revealed in May 2013 that she was set to quit the show after completing a guest episode in the very first season of the third. She was Tituba in the TV series Salem in 2014 until. Madekwe was married to her long-time partner, Iddo. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked in tandem on Salem and he had an appearance with her on that show.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario and was a part of a large family. Her parents, Roy and Patty and the four brothers of her, Brett, Todd, and Bram and Bram, were present. Ashley's brothers were athletic and were avid baseball players during the summer months and hockey in the winter. Ashley couldn't walk, however she was able to dance. In the end, at the age of 2 She discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley fell in love with dance when she was just a few years old. Until she graduated from the high school she attended, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop. She won the top soloist at each of the major dance competitions including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
