Anita Ekberg

Anita Ekberg was a Swedish actress who starred in several European as well as American films. Her most well-known performance was in the comedy drama "La Dolce Vita". In 1960 the film was given with the Golden Palm and an Oscar at the Cannes Film Festival. The film also had commercial and critical success. Before beginning her acting profession her Swedish birthplace, she was working as a model in the fashion world. She eventually won the Miss Sweden contest. Following her move to the US she acted in a variety of films, in small characters. Her first credited role was in the film "Abbott and Co. Go to Mars in which she was the role of a Venusian guard. After her role in 'Blood alley and 'Blood Alley,' she was awarded the Golden Globe Award for 'Most promising newcomer.' In addition, she appeared in a variety of movies throughout her career. They include the war drama 'War and Peace,' the Western Film "Valerie", the British Adventure Crime Film 'The Man Inside and also the French and Italian drama The Dam on the Yellow River.
